Guldford Thursday daytime Gongyo and Daimoku, usually 1130 – 1230. Flexible as to time and venue, phone Maggie P beforehand for information. Woking Thursday District Daimoku for the growth and happiness of the District and its members. Usually at Poury’s, 1700, phone beforehand to confirm. Farnham District Tozo every Monday at 1930. May 3rd Message from President Ikeda

"The Daishonin asserts, “Take these teachings to heart, and always remember that believers in the Lotus Sutra should absolutely be the last to abuse one another. All those who keep faith in the Lotus Sutra are most certainly Buddhas, and one who slanders a Buddha commits a grave offence.” (WND-1, 756)

I would like leaders and central figures especially, to be harmonious amongst themselves, respect each other as comrades, elevate their life states and become “proficient practitioners of Buddhism” who are capable of turning everything into ingredients for development and everyone into good friends.

The Daishonin teaches us, “The voice does the Buddha's work.” (Gosho Zenshu p.708) Please therefore be a person of “heart-warming and encouraging words”, not of “bitter and hurtful words”. Be a person who embraces others with broadmindedness and advance amiably together without holding any grudges. When you take this as Buddhist training and challenge yourselves in human revolution throughout your lives, you can enter the orbit of absolute happiness throughout the three existences. Consequently, your own country and our European family will shine even more brightly with joy, hope and benefit."
