Every Week District tozo is an opportunity to chant for the growth and happiness of the District and its members. Please support at home if you can’t attend. Thames Wey Monday Morning gongyo and chat, 0930 at Larissa's, call ahead to confirm. Eastbourne Every Friday evening, 8-9pm, Daimoku for Peace in the Middle East, at Avi and Stella's. Guldford Thursday daytime Gongyo and Daimoku, usually 1130 – 1230. Flexible as to time and venue, phone Maggie P beforehand for information. Woking Thursday District Daimoku for the growth and happiness of the District and its members. Usually at Poury’s, 1700, phone beforehand to confirm. Farnham District Tozo every Monday at 1930. On the Inscription of the Dai Gohonzon

"Nichiren Daishonin inscribed the Dai-Gohonzon to a man named Yashiro Kunishige, about whom virtually nothing is known.... Nichiren Daishonin considered a common man like Yashiro Kunishige to be the ideal recipient of the most important of all our objects of veneration. The significance of this selection must not be overlooked. He did not inscribe the Dai-Gohonzon to the priesthood, the rich, the aristocratic, the scholarly, or the famous. He chose a humble man, a man of the common people. I believe this point is of utmost importance. We must never doubt the keen wisdom of Nichiren Daishonin, who understood completely the desire of ordinary people to live their lives to the fullest and to live them in peace."
