Safe Child Policy
We endorse and comply with the Arts Festival Organizer's (AFO) Safe Child Policy.
Meeting Resources
Sometimes it's good to have something for kids to colour
while discussing Mandalas. Here are two sites that have downloadable
images suitable for colouring (Just click the images to make them bigger.):

This site has many images, including Mandalas:

If the image that you want is too small to fill a sheet of paper you can bring
the image into Word and stretch it to fit the page.
Upcoming Events
In the early stages of planning for a Young Eagles camping weekend in the summer.
Previous Activities
Aside from national courses and activities, the HQ had a family day at the 2003 HQ Course at Taplow, and a full parallel programme for children at the 2002 HQ gathering in Liphook Millenium Hall.
About child care:
We are not legally able to take responsibility for childrens' activities at SGI
activities. (If we did we would need to comply with a number of child care legal
requirements including liability insurance, registered carers, CRB disclosure etc).
Parents are therefore requested to supervise their own children at all
times. We will have a full contingent of Youth and Family Division members to coordinate and support children's meetings so active parental involvement in running
the activities should not be necessary, but is always
appreciated.
Note: We do not have the resources to support children under 6 years of age. SGI childrens' activities are for 6 years of age and up - please make your own arrangements for younger children.
If you are bringing children or guests to a meeting please let the host know in advance. Usually they are very welcome but in some cases, especially Study meetings or where space is limited, you will have to make other arrangements.
If you would like to get more involved in
meetings for kids please email Rick or Noriko. Anyone with appropriate
experience and previous CRB clearance would be particularly welcome.
